Chateau Minuty Cotes de Provence 2006

Chateau Minuty is one of the leading estates of the appellation and is to be found on the wine lists of France's finest restaurants. Its rosé cuvées are exceptional when you consider that making rosé is more difficult than making red wine. This cuvée is one of those wines which we term dangerously good. Apart from its finesse and class, we appreciated its fine fruity character and mineral aspects both in the nose and on the palate.  On the palate the wine reveals a rather refined attack with flavors of jammy red fruit. The acidity is evident and lends a thirst-quenching aspect to the whole. A lively and tasty wine that is enjoyable for its purity and finesse on the palate. Moderate length.

Served on the beaches of St. Barts and the French Riviera.  Domaine OTT is a delicious blend of cabernet sauvignon, grenache and Cinsault.  It is vegetal, fruity and spicy with broom, apricot and grapefruit. This wine has the reputation of being the "finest rosé in the world", which just goes to show you that great vintage rosés are indeed possible.
